Move your camera to the console
This guide is for cameras you added to a workspace at edge.anava.ai before the console existed.
Anava Edge now runs on the camera. Each camera has its own console, with the plate feed, events, rules and settings. Anava is retiring the workspace as the place where Free Edge and Hybrid Edge cameras are operated. edge.anava.ai becomes your Anava account: your plan, your cameras and your usage.
Moving a camera takes three steps: remove it from the workspace, install Free Edge, open the console.

Before you start
- Write down your rules and plate lists. They do not move with the camera. You set them up again in the console.
- Keep the camera online until it is removed. If you cannot, see A camera that is offline.
- Have the camera's administrator login and the Free Edge package from anava.ai/download.
Move one camera
1. Remove the camera from the workspace
- Sign in at edge.anava.ai as a workspace administrator.
- Go to Devices and select the camera.
- Choose Remove from workspace, and type
removeto confirm.
Removing the camera clears its Anava settings, disconnects it from the cloud and uninstalls the Anava app from the camera. Billing for the camera stops from the hour you remove it. The camera's event history stays in the workspace.
Wait until the camera shows as removed. Then open the camera's own web page and check that Anava Agent is gone from Apps.
2. Install Free Edge
Download the Free Edge package for your camera from anava.ai/download, and install it with the camera's web page or AXIS Device Manager:
Do not install over the old app without removing the camera first. The old settings stay on the camera, including its link to the cloud, and the camera does not become a Free Edge camera.
3. Open the console
Open the console from Apps, Anava Agent, Open, or go to http://<camera-ip>/local/AnavaAgent/web/. Set up your plates and rules again. See Open and sign in to the console.

A camera that is offline
If the camera is offline when you remove it, the removal dialog offers choices for offline cameras. Choose Remove when it comes back. The camera uninstalls the Anava app the next time it is online. Install Free Edge after that.
Do not choose Remove now for a camera you plan to reuse. It frees the camera in the workspace, but the Anava app and its old settings can stay on the camera.

If you pay for Hybrid Edge
Your Google Cloud Marketplace subscription is not cancelled by the move. Billing for a camera stops from the hour you remove it from the workspace.
After you install Free Edge, start the Hybrid trial or upgrade from the camera's console, and connect your subscription to your Anava account. See Hybrid Edge. If the camera does not return to paid Hybrid Edge, contact support@anava.ai.
