Install from the camera web page
Use this for a first test or for one or two cameras. You need the .eap file from anava.ai/download and the camera's administrator login. Nothing needs to be installed on your PC.
Install
- Open the camera's web page in a browser and sign in as an administrator.
- Go to Apps.
- Select Add app.
- Choose the Anava
.eapfile you downloaded. - Select Install and wait for it to finish.
If the camera refuses the file, check that you picked the package for its chip and AXIS OS version. See Which package fits which camera. AXIS OS 12 installs signed apps only. Anava packages are signed.
Start the app
- In the Apps list, find Anava Agent.
- Turn it on, or select Start.
- Wait until its status shows that it is running.
Open the console
- In the Anava Agent entry, select Open.
- The console opens in a new tab. If the camera asks you to sign in, use the administrator account.
You can also go straight to it. Type http://<camera-ip>/local/AnavaAgent/web/ in your browser, with the camera's address in place of <camera-ip>. Use https:// if the camera accepts only HTTPS.
See Open and sign in to the console for what each role sees and what to do when the page does not open.
Copy these settings to other cameras
Set up one camera as your reference. Once it is ready, you can copy its settings to the other cameras with a configuration file. In the console, go to Fleet template, then Exports, and select Download .cfg. Then follow AXIS Device Manager.
Upgrade
- Repeat the install steps with the newer
.eapfile. - The camera replaces the old version and keeps your settings.
Installing the same version again, or an older one, also keeps your settings. To start over, remove the app, then install it again.
Go further
- Want the cloud to check a specific thing about a frame, or speak a warning through a speaker? That is Hybrid Edge. The trial starts from the camera's console.
- Many cameras: AXIS Device Manager installs and configures them together.
- Many sites, an audit log, Ask Anava and a VMS replacement, in your own Google Cloud project? That is Anava Vision.
